Police in Boonton has launched an investigation into a pedestrian strike that injured a person on Friday night in the township.
It happened just before 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of Main Street and Boonton Avenue, where police and EMS found the seriously injured victim lying on the ground after a car struck them at that location.
Police say the unidentified victim was transported to Morristown Hospital and remain in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the car that struck the victim reportedly stayed at the scene.
