A man struck by a vehicle on a highway in Sayreville was airlifted to the hospital suffering serious injuries Wednesday night.
It happened around 9 p.m. near 1979 NJ-35
Police said emergency responders found the victim suffering a massive leg injury and in serious condition.
Police temporarily closed the roadway for the investigation as detectives worked to determine the cause of the collision.
There were no other injuries reported.
