Search Underway, Reward Offered in Linden Pedestrian Hit-and-Run

Police in Linden continue to search for the driver of a vehicle that mowed down a pedestrian on Route 1&9 last week. 

According to police, the victim, Mr. Rayan Bien-Aima of Rahway, remains in critical condition. 

Police say Rayan was struck as he crossed Route 1 at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Monday, April 25. 

The vehicle, believed to be a dark-colored coupe or sedan, fled the scene traveling northbound on Route 1, Linden Police said.

Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that results in an indictment and conviction. 

"In a tragic case like this, no information is irrelevant," said Police Chief David Hart.

"Even the smallest piece of information can be the missing piece that helps identify the vehicle or driver involved in this crash and brings justice to Rayan and his family."
