Sea Isle City Fire Sends Two People to Hospital; Elderly Women Unaccounted For

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Sea Isle City Police Chief Thomas McQuillen are investigation a multi-alarm structure fire that sent two people to the hospital and has crews searching for elderly woman who remains unaccounted for.

Officials say firefighters responded to 29 54th Street in Sea Isle City, for a report of a fast moving fire that caused damage to several properties.

Two residents of 29 54th were transported to the hospital with burns and smoke inhalation. An additional family member, an elderly female, is remains unaccounted for.

According to Prosecutor Sutherland, Detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Sea Isle City Police Department, and members of the Cape May County Fire Marshalls Office are still investigating the cause and origin of this fire which has not been determined yet.
