Scotch Plains Firefighters are looking into the cause of a house fire that injured one person in the town during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters were called to the 1500 block of Rahway Road after they received reports of a working fire at around 9 p.m.
Crews arrived at the scene and found smoke and flames coming from the structure according to fire officials.
Firefighters were able to knock the blaze down within a half hour but not before locating one person suffering non-fatal injuries.
The official cause of the fire has not been determined.
