Scotch Plains Firefighters Respond to Elevated Carbon Monoxide Levels Inside an Apartment

Firefighters in Scotch Plains responded to a carbon monoxide incident at a residential complex early Sunday morning.
 

At approximately 12:40 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to 100 block of Tussel Lane after receiving reports of an odor of gas inside a garden-style apartment.

 

Upon arrival, crews reportedly detected carbon monoxide levels of approximately 30 parts per million inside the residence.
 

Firefighters began investigating the source of the elevated readings.
 

There were no immediate reports of injuries.


 

The cause of the carbon monoxide condition remains under investigation
