Scotch Plains Fanwood Historical Society Announces Program for Four Centuries in a Weekend

Scotch Plains

The Scotch Plains Fanwood Historical Society will be participating in the Union County Four Centuries in a weekend celebration.

On Saturday, October 15, from noon to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 16, from noon to 5 p.m., all are invited to tour the Osborn Cannonball House Museum located at 1840 Front Street in Scotch Plains and hear the story of the family who lived there during the American Revolution.

Learn what it would have been like to be one of the 13 Osborn children -- two of whom fought in the American Revolution.

Scotch Plains Fanwood Historical Society invites everyone to come and explore their "hands-on" collection of 18th-century toys; play a game of quoits (ring toss) and 9-pin bowling.

18th Century Toys

Make a colonial hat and wear it as you stand next to colonial children cut-out boards for an amazing photo-op!

This program is presented as part of the Union County Four Centuries in a Weekend celebration.
