The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School PTA has put together a tribute to the graduating seniors. On June 13, signs honoring the Class of 2020 went up all along Westfield Road, starting at North Avenue and stretching past the High School.

Each of the graduating Seniors received their own lawn sign with their name and graduation photo on it.

“A beautiful and amazing tribute to the class of 2020. Thank you SPFHS PTA!”, David Heisey, Principal of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, tweeted.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and state-wide restrictions on large public gatherings many schools have had to cancel or reschedule their graduation ceremonies. In response, many school districts are putting together tributes like this to give seniors their moment to shine.

The SPFHS in-person graduation, which was originally scheduled for June 23, has been rescheduled for July 8 with a rain date of July 9th.
