The Linden Police Department has received information that there are solicitors approaching Linden businesses and residents seeking donations to an organization called P.F.A. (Professional Firefighters and Paramedics) and claiming to be Linden Fire Department employees. These solicitors have no relation to the Linden Fire Department nor its two member unions, FMBA Local 34 or 234, nor the state FMBA. If anyone is approached by a solicitor claiming to be a fire department member, ask for an identification card.
