Rutgers Police Releases Information on Overnight Shooting in New Brunswick

The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a shooting that was reported to have occurred on Sunday, March at approximately 9:18 pm.

Police say this incident occurred in the area of College Avenue and Senior Street in the city of New Brunswick.

In this incident, the victim, who is not affiliated with Rutgers University, reported that he was shot once by a perpetrator while walking.

The victim received a non-life threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The description of the perpetrator is limited at this time police said.

The New Brunswick Police Department asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the NBPD Detective Bureau at 732-745-5217.
