Roselle Park Man Caught with Drugs During Kenilworth Traffic Stop

Cops recovered a large folding knife and drugs after a traffic stop in the township earlier today, authorities said.

Officers in the area of Market Street and Lexington Avenue tried to stop 32-year-old Daniel Wozny, of Roselle Park, for a speeding violation sometime around 12:30 a.m. but he attempted to elude the officer.

Police were able to catch up with Wonzy, locating him in the rear of a closed business, where they was able to pull him over authorities said.

During the stop, the officer reportedly observed a large folding knife on the front seat of the Wozny's vehicle that initiated an investigation that led to the discovery of 17 vials of crack cocaine and 15 prescription Suboxone films cops said.

Wozny was charged with possession of CDS/crack cocaine, possession of prescription legend drugs, and possession of certain weapons. He also received a number of motor vehicle summons.

Wozny was released and has a scheduled court date of April 15, at Superior Court in Elizabeth.
