A vehicle crash Wednesday night sent a juvenile to the hospital with injuries.

According to police, officers responded to the intersection of W. Westfield Avenue and Faitoute Avenue for a report of a two-vehicle crash with an entrapment at approximately 8:56 p.m.

Investigation revealed that a 2015 Ford F15 - operated by a 47-year-old male from Piscataway - was traveling westbound on W. Westfield Avenue when a 2012 Ford - operated by a 39-year-old Texas woman - attempted to make a left turn onto Faitoute Avenue from W. Westfield Avenue resulting in a motor vehicle crash within the intersection.

As a result of the impact, the 2012 Ford right front passenger side door was inoperable with a juvenile female entrapped in the front seat.

The Roselle Park Fire Department and Union County E.M.S. responded and the juvenile was extricated from the vehicle and ultimately transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The extent of injuries are unknown and the accident is currently under investigation by the Roselle Park Police Traffic Unit.
