Robbinsville Public Schools has announced leadership changes at Robbinsville High School, with current Assistant Principal Tom Brettell set to become the school’s next principal beginning July 1.

Brettell will succeed Molly Avery, who served as principal for 19 years, following what district officials described as an extensive interview process.
“Tom brings strong instructional leadership, a deep commitment to student success, and a genuine connection to our school community,” Superintendent Dr. Patrick Pizzo said.
“His experience and the relationships he built within the building position him exceptionally well to lead Robbinsville High School into an exciting next chapter.”
Brettell first joined Robbinsville Public Schools in 2005 as a science teacher, serving in that role until 2018 when he was named athletics director.
In 2020, he became assistant principal at Pond Road Middle School before transitioning to assistant principal at Robbinsville High School in 2023.
District officials also announced that Kristina Mannino will step into the role of assistant principal at the high school effective July 1. Mannino currently serves as Assistant Director of Student Services and will fill the vacancy created following the departure of Dr. Nicole Mumpower in January.

Mannino joined the district in 2009 as a special education teacher before becoming department supervisor in 2016.
She was appointed Assistant Director of Student Services in 2025.
