Reward Offered for Information Leading to Arrest in Manville Arson, Tire Slashing Investigation

Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor, and Manville Borough Chief of Police Mark Peltack announced that Crime Stoppers of Somerset County, Inc. is offering a reward of $500.00 for information leading to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for one car arson and the tire slashing of 40 parked cars.

According to authorities, the incident occurred in the Borough of Manville between the hours of 2 and 4 a.m. on June 11th.  

Officials say the incidents occurred within the North West sections of Manville Borough particularly between North 7th Avenue and North 13th Avenue.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that during the investigation conducted by the Manville Police Department, video surveillance footage was located and recovered. The video footage revealed that the suspect of the car arson and tire slashing is described as a Caucasian male, wearing a light-colored hooded jacket.
