A Red Bank man is facing criminal charges after authorities said he entered a stranger’s Little Silver home while nude from the waist down and exposed himself to a minor inside an upstairs bedroom.
According to information released by Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago, 23-year-old Ernesto Lozano-Zane has been charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree endangering the welfare of a child and lewdness, a disorderly persons offense.
Little Silver Police responded to a residence shortly after 10 p.m. on September 14 following a report that an unknown person had entered the home.
When officers arrived, authorities said they found the homeowner outside on the front lawn restraining Lozano-Zane and preventing him from leaving.
An investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Bureau and Little Silver Police determined that Lozano-Zane allegedly entered the residence through an unlocked front door before making his way upstairs.
Authorities said he entered a bedroom occupied by a juvenile, who alerted other members of her family to the stranger’s presence.
Investigators later located Lozano-Zane’s clothing and other personal belongings inside another bedroom in the residence, according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
Lozano-Zane was taken into custody at the scene and is being held pending proceedings in Monmouth County Superior Court. A detention hearing was tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 30.
