Authorities in Rahway are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred late Thursday night in a normally quiet section of the city.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., multiple 911 calls alerted police to reports of gunfire near the intersection of Carriage City Drive and East Milton Avenue.
Officers arrived swiftly on the scene and located several shell casings in the area.
At this time, police have not confirmed any injuries, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The motive behind the gunfire remains unclear.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. Rahway police are asking anyone with information to come forward as they work to piece together what led up to the gunfire.
