Queens Man Charged with Explicit Assault of a Minor in Bergen County

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Nikolaos Chlios, 44, of Queens, NY, for explicitly assaulting a minor. 

The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Old Tappan Police Department.

According to Prosecutor Musella, on Tuesday, May 17, the Old Tappan Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged explicit assault of a minor. 

An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Old Tappan Police Department revealed that Chlios explicitly assaulted the minor, who was 15 years old or younger at the time, in Old Tappan, on multiple occasions.

As a result of the investigation, on Tuesday, July 19, Chlios was arrested in Paramus and charged with aggravated explicit assault, explicit assault, endangering the welfare of a minor and aggravated criminal explicit contact. 

According to Prosecutor Musella, Chlios was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
