A Deptford Township woman has been sentenced to five years of probation after admitting to stealing nearly $100,000 from two local Parent Teacher Organizations.

According to information released by authorities, Tara Webb, 37, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Renard L. Scott for third-degree theft by unlawful taking as part of a plea agreement.
Court records showed that Webb previously served as treasurer for the Shady Lane and Pine Acres Early Childhood Center Parent Teacher Organizations.
Authorities said she took money from bank accounts belonging to both organizations over a period lasting more than a year.
Investigators determined that a total of $99,378.06 was stolen.
Under the terms of her plea agreement, Webb must repay the entire amount and serve five years of probation.
She is also prohibited from contacting the victims.
Additionally, Webb is barred from working in fundraising or managing funds for any nonprofit organization while she remains on probation.
