Newark Police seeks the public’s help identifying and locating a male who is being sought for questioning in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday, July 26th.
Police say at approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to a male shot in the 1000 block of South Orange Avenue.
Units arriving at the scene found a male suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries.’
Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives investigating developed evidence identifying the male talking to one of the possible suspects.
Police say the man in the picture is a person of interest and is being sought for questioning at this time.
While police are actively searching for the unknown male, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locate him.
This investigation is continuing.
