Police Seek Public's Help with Identifying Newark Burglary Suspect

Newark Police requests the public’s help with identifying an individual who is wanted for a burglary that occurred at a business on August 24.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on Monday, police officers responded to a burglary call at the Edison Ale House on Edison Place between Broad and Mulberry streets.

Surveillance video captured a male with a light complexion taking money from cash registers and damaging bar equipment. He had tattoos on both arms and was wearing a shirt and jeans.

The detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect.

Newark Police urge anyone with information about this individual to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
