Police Search for Suspect Wanted for Broad Daylight Shooting in Paterson

Police in Paterson are on the search for a suspect wanted for a broad daylight shooting of a man in the city Thursday afternoon.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 4:16, p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Carroll Street Paterson on a report of shots fired.

Units arriving at the scene located evidence that a shooting occurred, but they were unable to find a victim.

Authorities said, a short time later, officers were notified that a 26-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in for treatment of multiple non-fatal gunshot wounds.

The investigation remains active and ongoing according to the prosecutor's office.
