Authorities in Mercer County are searching for a suspect after a woman reported being physically and sexually assaulted while walking in Hightstown Friday evening.
According to a statement released by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, the 34-year-old woman told police she was walking near Park Way and Rogers Avenue at approximately 7:30 p.m. on September 11 when an unknown man approached her from behind.
Authorities said the suspect physically and sexually assaulted the woman.
As of the latest information released, no arrests have been made and investigators have not identified a suspect.
The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and Hightstown Police Department are jointly investigating the incident.
