The Newark Public Safety Department requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred on Wednesday, March 8.

According to Newark Police officials, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., a victim’s apartment in the 600 block of Elizabeth Avenue was broken into and ransacked.

A silver safe box containing $500.00 was also allegedly taken.

Detectives investigating this incident observed surveillance camera footage that shows a male suspect in the hallway of the apartment building.

Officials say that the suspect has a tattoo between his eyebrows and was wearing a ski mask and black shirt with gray sweatpants and gray sneakers.

The first suspect was met by a second man who entered the building from a back door.

He was supposedly carrying a yellow crowbar and wearing all-black clothing with a blue medical mask on his face and an Adidas crossbody gym bag.

The two suspects may have used the crowbar to open the apartment door.
