Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in locating the following suspects, Mr. Omar Holmes, 37, Mr.’Yusef Davis, 21, Mr. Yusef Milliron, 23 and Mr. Hakim Blount, 24, wanted for separate shootings throughout the city.
Police say warrants have been issued for three of the four men.
According to police, on June 19, at approximately 1:23 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of 18th Avenue on a shots fired call.
Upon investigation, officers found evidence that there had been a shooting at the location. However, no victim was located according to police.
Detectives investigating this incident gathered sufficient evidence identifying Holmes as the shooter.
Yusef Davis is wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred on July 28th in the 100 block of Maple Avenue.
Police say they located a victim struck in the foot by gunfire.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Upon investigation, Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives developed evidence that Davis was the suspect. A warrant has been issued for Davis’ arrest.
Police charged him with aggravated assault, the unlawful possession of a weapon and the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Police say on July 31st in the area of Columbia and South Orange avenues, a victim reported that he was shot by an unknown male at approximately 11:25 p.m.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury.
Major Crimes Shooting Response Team detectives conducted an investigation into this incident. They developed evidence identifying Milliron as the suspect then obtained a warrant for his arrest on September 18, 2018.
Police charged Milliron with robbery, aggravated assault, the unlawful possession of a weapon and the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Police say on Tuesday, September 11, a victim reported that a male he knew entered his home in the 700 block of South 17th Street with a gun.
According to police, during the incident, there was a brief struggle and the suspect fired a shot. He then fled the apartment.
Police say no one was hurt.
Based on their investigation, detectives of the Major Crimes Shooting Response Team identified Blount as the suspect t in this shooting.
The same day a warrant was issued for Blount’s arrest where police charged him with aggravated assault, the unlawful possession of a weapon and the possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Detectives investigating this incident gathered sufficient evidence identifying the suspects as the shooters and the vehicle as the car they fled in.
