Police Say Man Fled Motor Vehicle Stop; Warrant Issued

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr. Demetrius Carroll, 33, of Newark, for an eluding incident on Thursday, April 12th.

According to a statement released by Newark Police, officers attempted a motor vehicle stop at 6th Avenue and North 11th Street when the driver of the Chevrolet refused to stop and sped away.

Officers developed sufficient evidence that identified Carroll as the driver in the incident police said.

Detectives then obtained a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Carroll.

While police are actively searching for Carroll, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from Newark streets.
