Police in Newark reported no injuries in a shots-fired incident about a block from the border of the city's Central and South wards.
It happened in the vicinity of Madison Avenue and Hunterdon Street just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police said gunfire erupted in the neighborhood and when officers arrived, they found a parked vehicle struck by bullets at that location.
Officers canvassed the area for victims, but there were no injuries reported, police said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and no arrests were reported.
