Police Report Injuries in New Brunswick Shooting

Police in New Brunswick reported injuries in a shots-fired incident in a section of the city on Tuesday evening. 

A preliminary investigation indicated that gunfire rang out near 23 Freeman Street around 10:10 p.m., prompting a police investigation. 

Officers arrived at the scene and found an unidentified person struck by gunfire at that location. 

EMS rushed the victim to the hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been released at this time. 

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

No arrests have been reported.
