Police Release Surveillance of Attempted Robbery Suspect in Linden

The Linden Police Department have released surveillance photos of an attempted robbery suspect in hopes of identifying the masked male.

According to police, at approximately 1:45 Monday morning, the suspect pictured below tried to force his way into the attendant’s booth at the Vantage Truck Stop on E. Edgar Rd. (U.S. Rt. 1&9).

The suspect is believed to be a white or Hispanic man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants, and what appeared to be a “scarecrow” style Halloween mask.

The suspect held his hand inside a red duffel bag, leading the attendant to believe he was armed.

He attempted to force his way into the booth, but the attendant was able to hold the door closed. The suspect ran from the scene when the attendant called 9-1-1.
