Police Recover Shell Casings in Newark West Ward Shooting

Police have confirmed no injuries in a shots-fired incident that occurred in Newark's West Ward on Saturday night.

According to police officials, a ShotSpotter Activation alerted police of a shooting in the 20's block of Alexander Street around 10:30 p.m.

Officers arrived and found evidence that a shooting had occurred, but no victims were found.

Police say shell casings were recovered after a gunman fired multiple rounds in the neighborhood.

The suspect remains at-large.
