Police in Newark Search for Suspect in Connection with Two Robberies

Newark Police officials request the public’s help with identifying a suspect in connection with two robberies on May 30. 

According to police, officers responded to a call about a robbery that occurred at approximately 11:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue. 

The suspect and several individuals exited a stolen 2020 black BMW X7 (Registration W91MBK) and robbed the victim of his backpack. 

Police said that during the second robbery, which occurred at 12:10 a.m. at Central Avenue and Hoyt Street, one of the suspects brandished a knife. 

In both incidents, several individuals got out of the BMW. 

Newark Police officials urge anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
