All three armed robbery suspects that sent police to the area near a Smith Street commercial building are in custody.
According to police, officers responded to a commercial building on Smith Street and Maple Street shortly after 2 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.
Upon arrival, the victim told police that they were robbed at gunpoint by three suspects.
Two of the three suspects were immediately arrested, while the third suspect was caught after a brief foot chase.
They were apprehended and positively identified by the victim.
Subsequently, officers searched the area and were able to retrieve part of the belongings which included cash and other items.
The Police Department’s K-9 assisted in the recovery of a loaded weapon.
There were no injuries reported during this incident.
Neither the suspects nor the victim are city residents.
