UPDATE: Police Investigating Shooting in Paterson That Injured Two

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 7:40 p.m. on September 8, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Paterson Avenue and Liberty Street on a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located a 32-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment and is in critical condition.

While on the scene the Police were advised a second victim was already transported to the hospital via private vehicle. Police were then notified a 19-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound and is in stable condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
