Police Investigating Shooting in Area of North 6th, Clinton Streets in Paterson

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 1:37 p.m. on March 3, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of North 6th Street and Clinton Street in Paterson on a report of a shooting.

According to police, upon arrival members of the Paterson Police Department located a 35-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound inside a building in the area of North 6th Street and Clinton Street. 

Officials said that the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment and is in critical condition. A potential crime scene was located outside the building where the shooting victim was located.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
