By: Jeff Sommes Authorities in Trenton are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left one person injured and prompted a large police response in a residential neighborhood. Officers arrived on the scene and located numerous shell casings and a vehicle riddled with bullet holes. No victims were found at the scene, but police determined that an injured individual had fled before officers arrived. Shortly after, officials at Capital Health System alerted police that a gunshot victim had walked into the emergency room seeking treatment. Investigators believe the individual was struck by gunfire at the Perry Street location. The victim's condition has not been disclosed, and no arrests have been reported. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.According to preliminary information, a ShotSpotter device detected approximately 12 rounds of gunfire near 205 Perry Street around 10:10 p.m.
