Authorities are investigating a Saturday night shooting that left one person injured on South 17th Street near Central Avenue. 
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the 30’s block of South 17th Street shortly before 10 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers reportedly located a juvenile victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The injured individual was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
Police have not released details on the extent of the victim's injuries or their current condition.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
