Authorities in Essex County are investigating a shooting that occurred on the border of Newark-East Orange Thursday night.
Gunfire erupted in the area of 110 South 15th Street around 10:30 p.m.
When Newark Police arrived at the scene, they notified East orange after they found shell casings just at the border of both cities.
Police say a white Mercedes GLE with reported NJ license plate number "S14-MZB" was observed speeding from the scene.
That vehicle was tracked in the area of Bridge Street and McCarter Highway about an hour later.
No injuries or arrests have been reported.
