An early morning shooting investigation that has detectives looking into a shooting that injured a woman is continuing.
According to preliminary reports, officials at University Hospital contacted police when a female victim was reportedly dropped off at the emergency room suffering a gunshot wound to the breast shortly before 3 a.m.
During the investigation, police began to focus on a building in the 100 block of Chadwick Avenue where it is believed that the woman suffered her injury reports said.
Detectives are also investigating the possibility of the injury occurring from self-infliction.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
