Police Investigate Shooting on Camden Street in Paterson

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 11:40 p.m. on April 4, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to Camden Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.

According to county officials, upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene and a 20-year-old female Paterson resident who had sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds. 

Officials said that the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim was in a residence located on Camden Street in Paterson when she was struck by gunfire. 

The victim will remain unidentified pursuant to the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
