Police in Newark are investigating a set of shootings that happened last night in Newark.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 300 bock of South 7th Street sent police to the scene where officers located several shell casings but no victim was immediately found.
Up in the city's West Ward, gunfire erupted in the 100 block of Smith Street shortly before 10 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers did not locate any injured victims but did find evidence that a shooting had occurred.
The incidents are being investigated by the Newark Police Department.
