Police in Wayne are investigating a reported shooting that occurred Tuesday evening inside the food court area of Willowbrook Mall.
According to the Wayne Police Department, officers received reports of shots fired at approximately 7:03 p.m. on December 30, 2025.
Multiple individuals were seen running from the area following what authorities believe began as a physical altercation.
Several Wayne Police units, along with officers from surrounding agencies, responded to the scene and secured the area.
Investigators confirmed that a single shot was fired, but no victims or injuries were located.
The Wayne Police Department says officers have completed the on-scene portion of their investigation into an altercation inside Willowbrook Mall on Tuesday evening that ended with a gunshot being fired in the food court area.
According to police, three people — two adults and one juvenile — were taken into custody for their roles in the physical confrontation that occurred prior to the firearm being discharged.
Detectives are continuing to review evidence and gather additional information.
