Authorities in Paterson are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred Friday night in a residential section of the city.
Shortly before 10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 856 Main Street after multiple reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, police recovered several shell casings scattered across the scene, prompting an immediate investigation.
After canvassing the area, officers determined that no injuries had been reported in connection with the gunfire.
The suspect reportedly fled before authorities arrived and remains at large.
At this time, it is unclear who the intended target may have been, and no motive has been released.
The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives work to gather surveillance footage and witness statements.
