Police Investigate Passaic Shooting

Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting incident that occurred late Monday morning near the intersection of Dayton Avenue and President Street.

According to a joint announcement by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Passaic Police Chief Luis A. Guzman, police were dispatched to the area at approximately 11:35 a.m. on June 2, 2025, following reports of gunshots. 

When officers arrived at the scene, they located evidence indicating that shots had been fired.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that the investigation remains active, with additional details expected to be released as they become available.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office is asking anyone who may have information related to the incident to come forward.
