Police Investigate Overnight Shooting in Newark

There were no injuries reported in an overnight shooting in Newark that has police investigating.

Police responded to several reports of shots fired that rang out in the 400 block of Clinton Avenue shortly before 9 p.m. where they arrived to the scene and did not find evidence of a shooting or any victims.

A short time later, the owners of a vehicle that was located in the 100 block of Seymour Avenue contacted authorities when they noticed the window of a vehicle smashed and bullet projectiles were reportedly inside the vehicle.

Police set up a crime scene in the area where they collected evidence at that location.

There were no reports of arrest made.
