Police Investigate Overnight Shooting with Injuries on Clinton Avenue in Newark

One person was transported to University Hospital after gunfire caused injuries in a section of Newark's South Ward Friday night. 

According to police, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in Clinton Avenue's 600 block. 

Upon arrival, units found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his leg. The victim was transported to University Hospital in stable condition. 

The suspect fled the scene and is at-large, according to police.
