Police searched the area around 14th Avenue and Hunterdon Street overnight for a crime scene after a victim suffering injury from gunfire entered University Hospital.
According to initial reports, at around 12:25 a.m., officials at University Hospital contacted authorities when a male victim arrived at the emergency department shot to the foot.
The victim reported to authorities that he was shot near 14th Avenue shortly before arriving to the hospital
Police canvassing the area located evidence and requested a crime scene reported said.
The victim's injuries were not reported as life threatening.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
