Authorities are investigating an overnight shooting that left a male victim injured in a Trenton neighborhood early Monday.
Gunfire erupted around 12:20 a.m. in the area of 117 Hudson Street, prompting a swift police response.
Upon arrival, officers located shell casings and an individual initially believed to have been shot.
After further investigation, police confirmed that the victim was injured but not by gunfire.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
The motive for the incident has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.
