Police officials in Linden are investigating a robbery that was reported near a bar during the overnight hours.
Officials have not released official information regarding the incident as of 6 a.m., but according to preliminary reports, police were called to the Cheeque's bar at 1230 Linden Avenue to investigate reports of an armed robbery that occurred just past midnight.
A patron told units arriving at the scene that a male suspect approached, pulled a weapon, then demanded cash and personal possession according to reports.
The suspects then ran from the scene and entered in a dark-colored vehicle that sped from the area.
The incident marks the second armed robbery in or near a bar in Linden in the past seven days.
