Police Investigate Over a Dozen Car Burglaries in Roselle Park

A surge in car burglaries throughout the borough has prompted a warning from police.

A total of approximately 17 car burglaries were reported today in the areas of Amsterdam Avenue, Oakwood Avenue, Seaton Avenue, W. Colfax Avenue, Maplewood Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue.

According to police, in all of the incidents, the vehicle owners reported that their vehicles were left unlocked while parked in the street and/or in their driveways, which appear to have occurred in the early morning hours.

The Roselle Park Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating the reports.

Residents are once again reminded to secure their vehicles and remove any valuables from view whether parked in the street or in their driveways.
