Newark Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured in the city this afternoon.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the area of 14th Street and Springfield Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. where officers found the victim struck to the arm and leg by gunfire.
The victim was transported by EMS to University Hospital in serious but stable condition according to reports.
Police are looking for at least three suspects who fled the scene in a grey vehicle.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
