Authorities have released the identity of a man who was killed in Newark by gunfire on Monday night.
Police said 25-year-old Brent Dickson was killed when gunfire rang out late night in the area of 11th Street and Avon Avenue sending a large police response to the area where arriving officers found Dickson suffering injury from apparent gunfire.
Authorities said Dickson was pronounced dead at the scene.
There have been no arrests reported.
